Overview

Lorien, a leading technology recruitment consultancy, was moving out of its existing offices in Edinburgh as it had out-grown them and the existing office would require considerable investment to align with their brand and vision.

The move would allow them to facilitate the alignment of their brand, work strategy and recruitment goals.

The brief was to facilitate an office interior fit-out create a more sociable and collaborative environment with a quirky industrial feel in order to attract and retain innovative and entrepreneurial staff.

Our Approach

Working with Instant Group, Lorien’s property advisors, we finalised the design brief by exploring Lorien’s needs and requirements to ensure that the project met their aspiration.

The SPACE Design Team utilised Lorien’s colour palette to create a holistic environment and scheme to their new office.

The space was divided into 3 zones – public space, invited space and private working space.

The entrance is impactful, vibrant and stimulating. The meeting rooms remain fresh and professional.

The breakout and collaboration space is warm and welcoming, with a mixture of textures and timbers to give a nod to Scandinavian design.

The open plan office interior is modern and tranquil and creates a calm working environment. Overall creating a quirky and youthful space.

The completed office fit-out has been hugely successful for Lorien in their continued growth in the Edinburgh market.  The space was also shortlisted for a BCO Scotland Design Award in 2019.
