Overview
Cordale Housing Association based in West Dunbartonshire, moved to a new purpose-built building to bring together the local teams in a central location, easily accessible for their tenant base.
Staff involvement was an important part of the interior design project. We hosted workshops to understand what they wanted from their new space, what was important for them to deliver their job.
Our Approach
Creating a welcoming atmosphere was a key requirement for the new building and involving both the staff and the local community – who are at the heart of everything they do – was an incredibly important part of the project process, to ensure we designed a space that was right for everyone.
Designed for the diverse users of the spaces, there was an emphasis on light, bright and calming colours in the workplace interior design to highlight the building.
Textures helped to create a sense of individuality and create a peaceful working environment with plenty of collaboration areas & multifunctional spaces.
The continuation of the flooring throughout the space was an important design decision to draw the whole space into one, with wraps of blue following the line of the flooring onto the walls to give something different to the long corridor like spaces.
We were very budget conscious, making sure that furniture & fittings were of a high enough quality without compromising the design.
We are delighted with the new Cordale office and the support provided by Space Solutions. Space Solutions provided expert advice and quickly understood the particular needs of staff, governing body members and customers. They helped us design a new office which significantly enhanced the working space, with staff benefitting from a positive and flexible working environment
