Space Solutions supports cHeRries Business Breakfast: putting healthier, more productive workplaces at the heart of the conversation
Space Solutions was delighted to support this year’s cHeRries Business Breakfast, held at The Chester Hotel in Aberdeen on Tuesday 29 September, bringing together business leaders, HR professionals and workplace specialists for a morning focused on Health, Wellbeing and Performance at Work.
The event explored some of the key issues shaping today’s working environment, from employee wellbeing, stress and neurodiversity to financial wellbeing, leadership and creating workplaces where people can thrive.
Creating healthier, more productive workplaces
As workplace design and consultancy specialists, we were particularly pleased to contribute to the conversation around the relationship between people, place and performance.
Our Associate Workplace Consultant, Chris Carr, delivered a session exploring Towards a healthier, more productive working environment, looking at how the physical workplace can become an asset to an organisation.
Chris shared insights into how thoughtful workplace design can support employee wellbeing, attract and retain staff, and create environments that help people perform at their best.
The session explored areas including biophilic design, providing a variety of work settings and the importance of environmental considerations – all of which can have an important role to play in creating workplaces that respond to the needs of today’s workforce.
Wellbeing and performance go hand in hand
One of the key messages from the morning was that wellbeing and performance should not be viewed as separate priorities.
The workplace has an important role to play in supporting how people feel, work, collaborate and connect. From the layout and flexibility of a space to access to natural elements, different work settings and opportunities for interaction, the physical environment can influence the everyday experience of employees.
At Space Solutions, we believe that successful workplace transformation comes from bringing together people, technology and place – creating spaces that work not just for an organisation, but for the people within it.
A morning of insight and connection
Alongside Chris’s session, attendees heard from experts across employment law, leadership and employee benefits, covering topics including healthy workplace cultures, stress, neurodiversity and disability, pensions and financial security.
The event also provided a valuable opportunity to connect with businesses and professionals from across the North-east and beyond, sharing ideas and experiences around the future of work.
We’re proud to have supported an event that puts people at the centre of the workplace conversation and encourages businesses to think differently about how their environments can support healthier, happier and more productive teams.
Thank you to the cHeRries Business Breakfast team, the speakers and everyone who joined us for a great morning of discussion, insight and networking, a great DC Thomson event.
At Space Solutions, we’re passionate about creating great spaces for people and businesses to thrive, and conversations like these help shape the workplaces of tomorrow.
