Overview
We partnered with England-based design and build company ADT Workplace who provided the sketch design, for which we led all local works to apply the Manchester design to the Glasgow office. Our team provided detailed design and managed the fit-out as the Scotland-based design and build team.
Approach
Vivid’s new office is a highly fitted out space with lots of bespoke joinery elevating the look. The design features a contemporary colour scheme with a monochromatic base, pops of lively bright red and calming muted green while plants add a biophilic softness. ADT’s sketch design served as the initial blueprint for the project, with our designer refining and developing the concept to suit the space. With the initial designs created offsite, a full-site survey of the CAT A space identified opportunities for changes. We customised specific details to suit the layout and functionality of the Glasgow location, while maintaining the core design principles of the Manchester office.
The new office features many of the same elements as Manchester, like the custom hexagonal seating booth at reception, bungee elastic screens and motivational quotes placed throughout. Punchy dark walls serve as backdrop to white desks and ceiling rafts, and the jewel red meeting room acts as a focus, drawing you down the circulation route. A lighter colour scheme for the kitchen better suits its north facing location within the building, while the lighting scheme showcases the existing perimeter LED strips, strip lights and ceiling rafts, relocating some to suit the new layout. New lighting was added to the meeting rooms, all with elegant smoked glass shades. The design and build was completed successfully on time and within budget providing Vivid with a Scotland base that aligns with their other locations.
