Overview
The vision for the new workspace redesign was a contemporary space, creating a sociable place to work and allowing for future expansion.
Our Approach
The focus for this design and fit-out project was centred around the staff, creating a calm working environment separate from a breakout out space.
The design features were concentrated in the breakout out area, with full height windows, a timber vinyl floor and a full height photo-real vinyl of the River Clyde; from some angles, you can see both the real Finnieston Canal and the one on the vinyl inside.
By angling the walls it allowed sufficient space for all 16 staff desks to be next to windows, not achievable if these walls had been perpendicular.
The Outcome
Redesigning the office workspace gave a simple clean plan and matching aesthetic giving a calm look and feel. In the office area; simple white and grey walls, white furniture and black carpet with feature blue window with a full wall of blue at the far end keeping the clean, calm feel. The blue feature paint echoes the blue of the sky of the vinyl on the break-out space glazed screen.
The spine wall creates a separation from the toilet door and the workstation area.
