Overview
NSMP’s previous home in shared office space made it challenging for the company to feel a sense of brand independence, and they lacked a client facing space. We helped the energy infrastructure company develop a greater sense of identity in their working environment with the design and fit-out of their new home at Marischal Square.
Approach
Based in the heart of Aberdeen, their ground floor office features floor to ceiling windows with views towards Marischal College. Our space plan capitalised on these views, organising the open plan desking and canteen in line of sight towards the square and situating meeting rooms and focus pods to the back of the suite. We maximised use of the space, creating a variety of settings that included acoustic booths, different seating styles, and a meeting room with folding partition. They now have an arrival space for visitors that can double for collaboration when needed, with flexible furniture options to adapt to different working needs.
The company’s brand colours influenced the look and feel, using the blues, greens and teals from their colour palette that translated well to an interior design. Additionally, we added warm wood tones with a touch of navy to ground the space and create a welcoming but professional atmosphere.
We completed the project on time and within budget, giving NSMP a new space that showcases their brand identity.
