We are proud to have our very own Lucy Galloway join the BCO Chapter Committee (Scotland) this year. Lucy previously represented the BCO Next Gen committee as Deputy Chair, and we are excited to see what she will bring to the team as she joins the main chapter.

“I’m delighted that Gillian Stewart (BCO Scotland Chair) asked me to join the main committee last month. For everyone it’s been a challenging couple of years, to keep momentum up, but I believe there is real optimism within our industry and it’s a great honor to continue to be a part of the BCO.

Throughout lockdown the BCO has ran webinars, issued publications, and hosted virtual networking events, all of which have been great to boost spirits, educate and share a range of perspectives. This is particularly important to peers starting out in the industry, who have lacked that ad hoc learning experience recently. The Next Gen committee, led by Neal Hemingway (360 Architecture) continually drives to inspire, inform, and connect professionals across the board.

Looking forward I’m really excited to be hosting and attending in-person events, meeting new folk, sharing views over a coffee (pint of Tennent’s is also available) as well as heading to Manchester for the BCO conference in June. Workplace design has never been so important with our society, from understanding all user needs to creating holistic and rewarding environments – and we can learn from other industries, all of which I’m thrilled to be a part of.”
