Conoco Philips Gym
The Conoco Philips project involved the conversion of office space within Royfold House into a fully functioning gym complete with a weights area, aerobics studio, new changing facilities, showers and toilets. Design work involved a feasibility study on the amount of office space lost once the gym was in place and included the separation of the gym from the office side of the building. The project was completed to a high standard of finish and in accordance with Conoco Phillips’ safety culture and zero incident policy. Access to the site area was tightly controlled involving forming a temporary entrance to avoid interface with the building occupiers and noisy construction work such as demolitions, concrete coring and floor sawing was confined to out of hours working to prevent disruption.
