We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager of Facilities Management in Aberdeen

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, consciousness and awareness with respect to Health and Safety.  Ensuring that all aspects of Health and Safety are covered and the correct documentation is prepared 
  • Build strategic, long term and sustainable customer relationships whilst maintaining the highest standards of presentation, personal integrity, customer support and be recognised as the natural go to person and a trusted partner  
  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to the day to day direction for the team to increase service levels and standards that are delivered to the customer through the team. Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and that of the clients you are representing 
  • Regular quality checks and carry out regular site audits 
  • Manage all operational activity within the business and ensure all tasks within your teams areas of service are logged with the helpdesk and a record of all tasks is kept up to date and managed through to completion   
  • Ensure personal development plans are in place the your directly managed teams
  • Responsibility for the area finances and ensuring that the team are working with a mind-set of continuous improvement at all time
  • Business Development continually working to grow the business through new and organic growth
  • Liaise closely with other departments within the Space Solutions Group
  • Be the point of contact for client in the absence of Deputy General Manager

Requirements 

  • Ability to motivate and lead a multi-skilled team in the support of Facilities Management and the management of operational incidents
  • BIFM Membership
  • Knowledge and experience of soft services and hard services within large/multi-site corporate environment
  • Financial acumen
  • Can prove the understands and implement QSHE and M&E Compliance
  • Proven communication and influencing skills with the ability to gain acceptance at all levels of management and external suppliers
  • Analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Demonstrable experience in a customer facing or customer service role with a strong customer service background at senior client level
  • Problem solving skills 
  • Self-disciplined and able to work on own initiative and the ability to make decisions without referral to line manager
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Attention to detail, standards focussed and methodical & organised
