Overview

The client, Pure Gym, were looking to expand their gym franchise into the Aberdeen market.

This is the second Pure Gym in Aberdeen and was well received with over 3500 members joining before handover.

Pure Gym had taken on a newly built property in the Kittybrewster retail park, this was a completely empty unit and required consideration of fit-out and refurbishment services capacity.

Our Approach

The client required a full gym refurbishment and fit out to their standard specification allowing 24 hour access, shower and toilet facilities and an extensive gym and studio areas.

The design called for a mezzanine floor to be installed creating two floors, this meant installing two staircases and a disabled lift.

The mezzanine floor required partitioning to be built full height (over 7m high) along with a full Mechanical and Electrical install.

The largest element of this gym refurbishment was the structural installation and in itself created a number of challenges, however the project was completed on programme and within the original budget with a very happy client and the site project team was complimented by all involved.
